Ah, that would explain the Boar Standard, as that’s certainly more Celtic than Roman, though the heads and shields looked more like Roman Hastati or Principes upon first observation. Didn’t know Victrix made a Celtiberian set separate from their main Celtic line.
I actually was given them by a buddy who just moved out of state and wanted to pack light. https://www.victrixlimited.com/prod...76297857&pr_ref_pid=4187807681&pr_seq=uniform
As always with Victrix, some lovely figures there. You’ve got some great wargaming friends, mate, with all those kits from different manufacturers they give you!
Simple but effective terrain for my painting client. 5 more pillars to do and then I can burst through some werewolves and minotaurs of his (similar color scheme)
Alright gents, here is a situation report: So I've mainly been building historical/fantasy light infantry the last few days as a mind scrub. I've got 5 more dwarven pillars to drybrush I've got 6 werewolves and 3 minotaurs primed and on deck, from the same commissioner as the terrain. I have at least 50 infantry minis from various other personal projects primed and ready to go. I just received my necron half of indomitus, which is sitting on sprues. And I have close to 100 other historical figs I'm trying to convert to semi-fantasy on sprues, soon to be 160. I have a grom the Paunch I need to paint for a beloved YouTube content creator of mine. And I have a knight sized statue I have to paint for a buddy's business. And thee will always be more to add to the plate.
Do I don't have any photos, but I do have updates! 1. The dwarven pillars are done. Finally. 2. I was planning on moving straight into werewolves and minotaurs. Unfortunately, it seems the primer coat dried slightly tacky, so I'm going to have to go over them again lightly
necrons are built, as are some random ideas i had for imperial ratlings. WARHAMS from the TTSD cast is such a good podcast to listen to while painting. I've got an unrelated research project I'm working on today, but I hope to get some priming and painting done as breaks.
Up to 5 peltasts painted, one waiting on basing material to dry for testing purposes, as well as a remixed 3D print "battle servitor" guardsman.
Friday/Saturday Pictured: 1 3d printed lemon rust tank, 5 custom made (by me essentially 3D kitbashing) battle servitors. Not pictured: started painting necrons from indomitus, finishing 5 warriors and all 6 scarab swarms
