Work: Currently engaged in historical research on several historicals kits. Personal projects: 1. Active projects. A.) Alternate history roman empire: Romans with sci fi gear, and their conscripted auxilary units with ww1/2 era personal and infantry weapons. Specialized units planned using the upcoming lorica squamata romans from wargames atlantic. B.) Numas, The Scarab City: My Tomb kings army, the third iteration. In this list because there will eventually be human troops using Wargames Atlantic egyptians. 2. Sideline/back burner projects. A Morval Fusiliers (Fusion of wargames atlantic ww1 french with sci fi parts) B 1 to 1 Roman legion project. Not dead, just not actively working on it. C Persian army for hail caesar. I batch paint this in groups of 20, and I have not felt the drive to batch paint a unit of persians in months. D Stormcast - Haven't felt the pull to paint silver and purple. E Painting commission - I have an ongoing painting commission client i do batch work for. 3. Upcoming planned projects or sub projects. A Conquistadors and aztecs - I did the historical research, the least i can do is paint a small warband for each boxed set. B Codename skypirates - Actually more like landscknects with heavy armor and airships. Using up parts of the bits box for this one, utilizing extras from the conquistador kit. basically don't want bitz to just sit on sprues.
I'm going to change things up yet again for the next little bit. Over the next couple of days I will be attempting to put some painting time in on a commission that has been outstanding.
Any specific faction that yours are meant to represent? Is there a list of different factions in the game's lore? Can't see any
No, it's pretty much imagi-nations. You create your own thing. Granted, there are a few official factions because Sean is starting a small model line to go with the game. I think they are metals. I prefer plastics, hence my conversions
Wip legionary equites lancerii and Carabinieri variants. To be used as rough riders In 40K. They may also pull double duty. I have decided that I am going to make this Roman army useful for multiple games systems. So you may see multiple different types of command models over time.
I don't sell bases, yet, so the model doesn't come with a base. that is a 3mm MDF base. Drybrushing and careful edge highlights.
So, a different form of progress today. I was gifted 15 scions and 20 something cadian guardsmen. I don't sell gifts unless it's an emergency and there is no other way to get cash. The cadians are lightly primed grey, so I'm going to be able to repaint them easily. The scions however are primed red. Which means into paint stripping solution they went. The bases are MDF and have metal washers. I fully expect the bases to be ruined and need replacement after being submerged, but I like the idea of the washers. They will sit in this solution for at least 3 days. I will be posting updates.
Thank you Warden. I have plenty more on the way. I intend to make a few command sections modeled differently so i can use them in multiple systems
