really love your army its looks awsome,i was wondering, do you sculpt your bases. I especially love lord croaks base, its really nice.
The quality of painting is brill, way above tabletop standard. The terranadons seemed a bit plain though <ducks for cover> maybe it was the angle of the photo.
I agree, the Terradons do seem a bit lackluster compared to the rest of the army. (That's a compliment to the rest of your army) I think it may be because they - correct me if I'm wrong - were sculpted from some sort of Green Stuff material, and don't have those natural bits and pieces that can be used to make the model unique i.e. little lizards, scales etc. I admit that I wouldn't be able to do that to your standard, and wouldn't have a clue as to how to go about improving them in some sort of way.
Jawdropping. The NMM on Kroaks mask is just incredible. If not the best looking LM army I have ever seen, it's easily top 5. Magnificient work, and the camo-skinks are hillarious. Perfectly executed. Love it.
wow. really good paintjob on lord kroak. but the scar-vet, thats not gor gok, thats a chakax modell!! http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1323132334270&set=a.1182042927123.22155.1709707632&theater#!/photo.php?fbid=134135419985520&set=o.165711620130089&theater theres my temple guard and slann (no, everything is not finished yet) (yes, I have only started on the slann) hope you like them!! *note, only some of these pictures are mine*
I think what he means is that he is using that model as Gor-Rok in games that he plays i.e. he has Gor-Rok in his army list. Forgive me if I misunderstood.
I absolutely love those chameleon skinks, and I am going to waste a great deal of green stuff trying to copy them. Damn you Now i need to learn how to make bark texture like that.
Firstly, I'd just like to say that those chameleon skinks are pure genius. I was genuinely amused when I saw them, and almost fell into an uncontrollable giggle fit. Nicely done. Secondly: OH GOD MY EYES What kind of lighting/camera/photo editing did you use?! XD
Thank you all for your comments and apologies for not replying back. Between then and now i have painted 3000p of fire hawks 2000p of demons and some other bits and commisions. I also spent 2 months building my display board for armies parade, won best in Cambridge. It started with this nice stryrofoam I found, Then I cut them to make them fit. I also added some papers with the models base size. add some stairs and door. and could not resist to add the models to see. It looks pretty good the difference in the hight makes all the models visible. Next I prepare my flooring and walls. The floor was a plasticard from willis plasticard called "york paving" for the floors I made paterns of small bricks then molded and replicated a lot!. Some of the bricks came off while demolding the original
then some work Sprayed black and charidon granite with my airbrush drybrush khemri brown The portal I had already but wanted to repaint, time was limited so i printed the patern on a sheet of film glued it in place and coloured it with my brush. I then added moss, grass, peble, sand, and turfs to add detail and hide imperfections. and the final result...
Next time i try to paint nmm (which I probably do wrong) I will try to do a tutorial. GW has a sanguinor Nmm guide in their master class painter book. I need to finish two comission marine armies. but when i do return it will be probably with him: Nakai the wanderer using bloodthurster stats for storms of magic.
Wow!! That is simply stunning! Great step by step on the creation of it too! Incredible paint job and really awesome temple. Catching a glimpse of your steg in a couple pics and it looked really good - like the color tones. Also.. the portal - is that hand painted as that's what it looks like to me? - Lord Cedric
