Hey, I started a new topic because of all the pics:

I've just finished my Scar Vet. I got an old model of a cold one off Ebay and tried my hand at a different colour scheme. Therefore the cold one is chromatic, it really works, the colours shift slightly when you move the model or light. I added some scales on the spine and made the head a bit bigger with an additional spike and cheek frills. I also repositioned the legs on the right hand side.

The Vet himself has blue green skin and sand yellow scales with a bit of stone grey, just like some of the real life skinks I recently saw in italy. His arms are from the SCOR sprue, he used to have a spear and a different shield.

The backgrounds are pieces of scenery I've built: a dead tree and a small lizardman shrine / altar.

    Hope you like them!!

They are both looking fantastic, thanks for sharing. I notice the yellow scales, is he a tlazcotl? :)

Also, if you could highlight the shield like you have the scales of the cold one and rider, it would look even better!

Looks really good. But I agree the green on the shield looks weird compared to the detail everywhere else on the model.

    thanks.

the green doesn't come out on the photos as it does in real life, but you're right, it needs highlighting. I just haven't thought about which colour I want to do the highlights with.

I don't think about the spawnings when I paint them so that I don't have any restrictions.
