Got two parcels today first I have some interesting models I got for future conversions/ideas - I got an Oriental dragon for a possible bird/dragon conversion for that rare lustrian beast thing. Then a "Giant" toad who happens to be smaller than I had hoped for - was going to have a skink ride it but that might be problematic so it'll be a blot toad probably - I still don't know what these are for - distracting snacks for terradon or something? then there are two spirit beasts who I bought for the giant crab looking thing on them to convert some skinks riding crabs but this may not happen either who knows. This concludes my first package
What has a longer neck than a thunder lizard ...? my new stegadons that's what my other two have normal necks which is good I got a bunch of skink crew and a palanquin with these models - their paint is all chipping I wonder if its because they weren't undercoated or something - I was going to strip them anyway
Can anyone help me with a few questions? (this being the first of those few) I was wondering when a Slann is carried by temple guard? how do these troops count on the battlefield are they their own separate units or just part of the Slann aesthetics? This leads onto my next question really, what is the standard basing for a Slann given that they are varying in sizes due to either being carried or floating around by themselves? If i'm basing conversions I will want to make custom bases. Or is there no standard size because infantry move on movement trays? (never played the game so really unsure)
Thanks @Bowser any idea on if the temple guard/slaves carrying slann are just aesthetic or have their own rules?
They used to deliver the cc attacks for the model if I remember it right... For modern rules I would say they are just aesthetic extra... GW would say talk to your opponent before you start to play... Edit: Too late again! @Bowser got what you need!
3rd edition is slightly less cut and dry, not sure how it works there, but human slaves are lobotomized eunuchs if that helps.
Here is the oriental dragon glued together it has two horns for its head/neck that i'm contemplating keeping off the model not sure yet...
Coatl - found the name of the name of the beast I want to make with this - gonna give it wings so it can be one and hopefully make a nice conversion - they say its a manifestation of topek apparently
@Warden how did you make your Coatl wings they're amazing would love to make something similar for my figure to make my Coatl
These are going to become either giant crabs (3) maximum of my skinks ride or they will be used as special shields for conversion - I'm basing the lore on the giant crab carapace? (shell) being hardened by nature and it will be native to the Lustrian shoreline. I can bend the models legs to ride or shield them my idea atm is one shield for a general/special character and 2 skink riders - any thoughts?
You've managed to get some really interesting models into your collection. Can't wait to see them all together!
They were cheap, just a $5ish plastic Pegasus from a craft's store. I chopped the wings off and glued them to the clay snake body, and it was ready to be painted! Spoiler: coatl sorry, really wish I had WIP pics...
@Warden can you remember what craft store or what Pegasus so I can track it down? Maybe I need different wings for mine but those are pretty much Ideal for the creature as described Me too its slow going at the moment I like collecting all the models before making final decisions because some come with spare parts that work well for converting - I got one more mystery parcel on its way I can reveal that when It arrives. and thanks to selling some more stuff I've got some Bastillion on the way too
