Hi all, quick question regarding command Abilities. Since there is no restriction to the number of times they can be used in a hero phase can their aura effects stack up? For instance could I use the old blood on carno command ability 3 times to get an extra 6 attacks? Or scar vet on cold one 3 time to get 3 extra cold one bites? Many thanks
Yes as far as I know. Abilities that can not stack usually say so. Edit: This is from the FAQ Q: If I use the Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur’s Saurian Savagery command ability on a unit more than once, do I get 1 extra attack on a 6 for each time it has been used? A: Yes.
what @MackiMac said. It's weird how you cannot cast multiple times the same spell because it would be broken, Rule of One!, but apparently you can totally spam the same command ability.
It seemed very broken to me too, using that ability twice and then a Sunblood with Ghirstrike attacks, having 9 Attacks that explode on 5es cant be working as intended, or can it?
They got rid of "Rule of One" in the 2.0 overhaul. All of the restrictions have been broken down into different sections. Comand abilities that do not stack will be specifically worded on the war scroll. Look at Lord Kroak's scroll for an example of this.
1 more question with the scar vet on cold one command ability, does the extra attack apply to each model in the knight unit or just the unit as a whole?
This is crazy strong then, with the dracothian tail and a 10 stack of knight you could get 70 cold one bites on turn 1, doing double damage on 6s tw.
the mortals are only on the lances so no extra damage on bights and then you spend 5 command points to do 9-15 damage not great
If you add in Astrolith re-rolls and the Startpriest serpent staff it gets pretty nasty, on average it would be something like: 42 damage from cold-one bites 5.5 from lances and 2 mw 3.7 from rider bites That's over 50 damage, even with 3 up saves you should get 19 through.
