What are you doing today hobbywise?

For my Norse Blood bowl team I wanted something different for my display base so put together a Revell Viking ship. Still have to finish basing it with the team, but work in progress....

 

Wednesday night was more 8th edition instruction with my wife. We're working our way through all magic items and spells to give her true independence on running her army (she's using my Lizardmen).

 

Working my way through all my mini's doing the magnetizing in preparation for changing over the storage to magnetic and by unit.

This morning did work on my Kroxigor:

 

As part of my whole magnetizing evolution, and after a little inspiration from @NIGHTBRINGER and a little bit of online research, I bought a bunch of Really Useful Boxes and put in magnetic strips. I'm making metal squares to match my armies and will gradiently transfer them over from the foam boxes to these over the coming weeks.

Based on everything I've read, they're great for storage and short-distance travel, but not mail or long-distance. I figure that I'll eventually make foam cutouts that can go over the models for either of these, but for now both are not on the cards (as I'm DEFINITELY not selling them and long-distance travel seems... well... a long-distance away... unless the UK politicians get their mahrlect together which is about as likely as 40K suddenly change to a flower-power, universal love game).

Will post some pictures tomorrow. I'm quite unaccountably excited about the evolution.

 

I built an Underworlds warband, whatever her name's Ravagers. I also finished building a door for dnd terrain and spray painted a couple more pieces.

 

Did basing on my Daemon Plague Toads of Nurgle and put the three new Rot Toads I got onto square bases.

I need some motivation hobby wise. I haven't done anything in a week. HALP

Finally built up the confidence to start trying to paint, lol! Ordered a bunch of Contrast paints as I really like the look of Seraphon done in those paints.

Another port, another building session. Finished building 2 min-sized breacher squads for an upcoming Tau army.

I won't be building any of the drones until I have a better understanding as to what would work well in a Vior'la list.
