Was a very odd scale to work at, but I think I got the look fairly decently down.

@Karak Norn Clansman I may need to go back and fix/retouch a few areas. I also couldn't help but cheekily put in a little Irish myth with the two bulls on the hat design. :p

I pretty much followed the guide in Wargames Illustrated with a few changes of my own.

I had to do Clan Skurvy, despite my history with hating yellow. :p

I have a few older pics to eventually upload, but I figured I might as well skip ahead to my standing at the end of this month.

Great to see someone else who collects 1:72s here! Italeri have made some good sets, though it's infuriating that they, like Airfix, seem to have pretty much given up now with making figures and continually focus on planes e.t.c

Wow, very nice paintjobs, not least on the scribe! And lovely take with the Irish myth infusion. Cheeky is good. :D

    There, I actually painted a Lizardman! :p

He's actually also a test model for my painting vows for this month where i'm trying to paint the Starblood Stalkers warband. The Old Blood is going to be painted as my recurring Old Blood Tox of the Darkened Scale.

Similarly, here's another model who has appeared in one short story here. Countess Isa Strandt, Explorer.

Your nighthaunt are very good. Constructive criticism from me would be to dry brush highlight a brown onto the areas you are washing with a contrast brown color, as they look very "one wash and done" compared to the blending and overall skill shown in the rest of the scheme.

Similarly, your stormcast could do with a lighter, pastel pink to burgundy dry brush. I would achieve this by mixing a skin tone with the current burgundy you are using.

Additionally, the cloth here could use a wash and highlight.

Many thanks for the comments, praise, and constructive crit! :)

IIRC, it was a basecoat of Vallejo Yellow Ochre (913), Evil Sunz Scarlet (Part of me wonders if I used Wild Rider Red instead, but i'm pretty certain it was Evil Sunz) at the base of the feather and Warpstone Green at the tip, a thinned washed of Seraphim Sepia, then re-apply and mix the yellow and red and yellow and green on a wet pallete. For the Priest I blended a little further just to make the feather colouration a little more seamless, so more yellow for the red mix and more yellow for the green mix. Wasn't really a proper wet blend, more subtle-ish transition.

The Nighthaunt if I remember correctly was just rhinox with an agrax wash and a reapplication of the rhinox. You are right, a drybrush of something like Zandri or Gorthor would have made them that bit better. I blame slightly younger me's greeness and laziness after ruining himself doing the green to black. :p

The Astral Templars do definately need a final highlight. At that time I did not have a wet palette (only started using one this year and wow it makes things so much easier!) so any mixed colours dried very quickly. I think I did try a lighter more pinkish colour but it just didn't work, so I kept it dirty.

For Tox i'm not sure if I do want to give him a final drybrush scale highlight. He isn't meant to stand out too much (as he stands near the bright bloo skinks) in his backstory and I think the slightly flat and dull purple fits for him.

Anyway, cheers for the replies and I will think on what you suggest. :)
