I have painted 16 archers in the past 24 hours while also juggling errands, other tasks, and try and get tax stuff prepped. I'm going to go thug for a few hours and I will update later
Awesome work. I like the color of the skins a lot. Great army already. Keep up the great. Grrr, Imrahil
Where I got to. Beginnings of both a slinger unit and a Tlamanih or "captors" unit armed with macahuitl and chimali. Continued building on a unit of Cuextecatl with tepoztopilli spears and chimali shields.
Working on more Aztecs. Also, I don't play chaos currently, but I have decided to pick up the occasional painting piece or ebay deal until I have something resembling a force. For anyone unfamiliar, I'm a chaos undivided fan. Mainly because I use the hobby for painting and undivded allows for unrestrained use of color. This is going to be a standard bearer dedicated to Nurgle.
Second half of Aztec block 2 has been primed. I've also built a command stand consisting of an Aztec war-leader and two drummers, which will be primed in a day or so. I used greenstuff to make some basic bracers (as these would have been worn with the Ehuatl even if they provided no true protection. I also finished printing two orders while dealing with trial and error on one of my machines. And did 3 loads of laundry. and made dinner for myself. its been a full day.
So I've been up all night, alternating between work and fun stuff. 2 test conquistadors are finished and will be posted shortly. The slingers have been based, and progress has been made on the unit of 2-captive (Cuextecatl) warriors with spears and shields, which will be worked on in a bit. yay for coffee and slightly for stress (as stated previously, so many things to do so little time.)
Primed a stormcast from dominion today. I've got plenty on my painting table but I also follow the dopamine
Update on the Aztec army. Slow progress, as I have struggled to find hobby time for personal projects in the past week. However, the first 10 Cuexacatal warriors are painted, and once the shields are done these will be assembled and based.
Copying from the sculpting thread. I just want to share my joy at this. I had an idea, I let the Muse flow, and I did what I'm considering my first real sculpting ever. Yeah I dabbled with a few glyphs last month but I've never completely altered models like this and I'm ecstatic that it worked and it looks decent. I'm hoping pain will make it even better. I'm especially happy with the plague cysts that I scattered across the available fleshy areas. Although there will be a full introduction to this project when these are painted, I give you WIP maruaders of Nurgle.
Those certainly look convincing - the heads are from Crypt Ghouls, am I right? The greenstuffed necks look suitably bloated and horrible for servants of Nurgle. I too have a dream to greenstuff Kruleboyz one day, though I plan to meld them into Fimir...
