It was a long road, but today I made second improved version of my pain rack. This time , they are not glued, but stapled, inner separators are stapled both ways to prevent bulging and everything is secured with tape. Old racks after 13 months of everyday carrying: New racks:
After weekend failed print of Deimos predator, colleague brought me a package today. First half of model!
I should really up my game... Tomorrow I'll get rest of parts for 3D printed predator, original deimos predator is on the way from shop together with land raider, I should really get faster than month to finish single tank.
I nurglified predator a bit and with extra milliput and greenstuff rolled, I finished that long going old rhino conversion to plagueburst crawler. Goo tanks were added and milliputed those glue gun tentacles where foil was sticking out. Ultimately I decided that I won't add plow to the front.
Finally something done in 1:100 scale. There is small friendly tournament on Saturday and I was missing couple of panthers.
I posted this photo on our FoW facebook group yesterday evening. At the same time post about tournament cancellation was being posted.
I took my models to paintshop at our factory and sprayed them with black primer. Holy moly, all the people on the internet are not kidding when they say that primer unifies ugly looking kitbashes Now it looks properly disgusting, not just ugly.
Nothing done for last couple of days, as I was exhausted beyond recognition... But today, I slaped some paint on Brother Colonius. Now only to glue it on GUO and it is done.
I couldn´t sleep today, so when I woke up almost hour before alarm clock, I glued ultramarine and tufts to GUO. It is now finished!
This fellow was a bit basic sculpt, but I think that few greenstuff tubes, innards and skulls helped. Nurgle daemon prince with wings.
So... I bought second hand plagueburst crawler. Crudely painted and (as I found out after it arrived) poorly glued. Yesterday I drove solo to work and had modellers club in the afternoon. So I ended early at work and had 6 hours of hobbying. I disassembled (read ripped open) that PBC, stripped paint, cleaned mold lines and glued it back together. After that I took both this one and the one better half gave me for my birthday couple months ago and gave them nice black primer coating. Then I still had about two hours of free time, so I pre-assembled Miasmic malignifier. I hollowed out base, so there is opening to bottom furnace. If everything goes well, I'll install candle LED in there to imitate fire.
This week, I managed to prime and basecoat my two remaining crawlers as well as my new rhino printed in blitz action (author released it as free stl after previously only selling physical). Here is photo of my vehicles currently being worked on.
