I finally after god knows how long time managed to get something done at home. So I added railings to first stegadon. Some shields and points of interests will be added later. I plan to add rope on each side so skinks have some means to enter and exit (hence missing railing posts on main platform). I also made bases for kroxies and some spare sunken ruins so I don't have to wait hours next time I have time to do something. Nope.
I took kroxies home from office and gave them initial treatment with what I had at home... Two crappy school brushes
Big news! My EOTG is finished (at least apart from base, that will be done after "Great varishing of 2023") Here are some quick photos:
Since I have plenty of german AFVs at backlog (read at pile of shame) and I added them to "Lets get motivated" thread, I might as well do at least something on them. I added decals to two platoons. Next thing will be painting tracks and details so I can varnish them before wash. Also, coiple of post back, I posted photo of mysterious blister. Anyone interested can take a look at what I did at lunchbreak today Spoiler: Here
Another unit of froggies is mostly finished. Sorry for over-exposed photo, but ceiling light above me burned off today, so pictures were too dark. Thank you, looking forward to seeing yours.
I put kroxies to display to rest of my lizardmen, took a moment to take a look at what I have and I realised that there is alarming difference between minis that are sprayprimed in white (or very light grey) and those preshaded minis I started doing (because of lack of opportunity to spray prime). Right now it is about 50:50 ratio, I think that in some time my army will be mostly made of preshaded minis. Edit: here is quote from updated first post with list of what I painted so far:
Today I finished Salamander meatshields... wait, I mean handlers. This means that my salamander unit is finished.
Nice collection of Seraphon! Also I like that your Salamander Skinks are colour coordinated to the Sally itself!
Thanks a lot. I wasn't sure it's gonna work, as I tried red on temple guards, but results were too dark.
Today was successful day. Not much of visible progress, but I managed to get something done. I spent kiddo's afternoon nap glueing sunfire throwers to magnetised ornaments of stegadons. Then during kiddo's snack time, I slapped primer onto bases for all three stegadons and later we drybrushed them together on couch (to dread of my better half, who feared that we might get paint of same colour as couch onto blueberry stains on it). And when kiddo went to sleep, I slapped some paint onto said bases. Paint is still wet, so I'll do skulls tomorrow if possible. Do tell. I feel like there is story.
Nothing more than they are crocodiles with huge weapons. What’s not to love? My favourite is always going to be the Carnosaur, then it’s a toss up between the Krox and the Stegs…
This week will be rather poor on progress, because our German colleagues will be joining us temporarily in office. So I decided to take things lightly and make just something funny with minimum paint pots on my table. Behold the start of my Kroak! Right now It is on 32mm base, as I do not own 80mm one. As it is mostly taken as joke, I will make plain 80mm base and simply stick it onto it.
