There is some progress: Also, I decided I need to try out armoured car list for small play at the end of february, so I have small list that I really should paint till 24th: what is not painted is prepared below (ziplock bag contains 6 universal carriers):
Saurus warriors are in the office drawer and I am working from home, so while the computer is computing, I at least prepared something for historics.
9 vehicles done, 10 more to go (7 primed) and then just 16 crew members which are so small they will be done in hour. I think that I'll make it in time.
So not even hour. 21 minutes in total Considering that only shoulders and helmets will be seen, I am satisfied.
Aaand first three are done. Honestly, I spent more time with figuring out crew color scheme, than with painting overall.
Finally. Everything for tournament next week is prepared (plus motorcycle with sidecart for Bolt action) I just need to spray varnish universal carriers, infantry and add tufts to bases. I am bloody glad it is done.
If anyone is interested, I tried out new vallejo xpress color greens on preshaded test model. Excuse the strong MS Paint vibe
25% done: I decided to use Plague green, as in my opinion, Troll green was too vivid,Orc skin was too bright and Lizard green too dark
Third unit done. This is it. I have 30 of them now and I am happy... at least till summer when new ones come out.
Nice looking saurus!! And I like the work you are doing with the historics, you seem to be painting up several different scales at the moment? Are they all warlord games and what games are they for, Bolt Action and Flames of War?
Thank you and yes, multiple scales indeed. I mainly play Flames of war and that was my first large wargame. I already own two nice armies, but I have unassembled models for five. I started playing Bolt action basically during lockdown and with single box of soviets. That quickly scaled to 150 infantry and about dozen of vehicles. I still have couple of spare models, but right now I would like to at least build german force for planned D-Day anniversary (as I was told that my soviets cannot attend ) I mostly have official stuff (warlord for BA, Battlefront for FOW), but friend printed me three units of Daimlers&Dingos for trying out armoured car force.
I managed to spray varnish yesterday and kiddo fell asleep fast, so I had half hour to add tufts to FOW british infantry:
Not much done in last couple of days, but I at least glued two skinks for OPR bastiladon base. They will accompany it on foot as I managed to break off OPR skink hands from basti and lost them prior to painting. I also found another 11 saurus warriors that will come handy if new battletome specifies 1 drummer and 1 banner per 10 models.
